Wills, Trusts & Probate | Probate Services

When someone dies

If a will has been made, the appointed executors will usually need to apply for a Grant of Probate so that they can deal with the estate, pay any tax liabilities and any debts of the estate and then distribute the remaining balance to the beneficiaries.  If no will has been made, a Grant of Letters of Administration will be needed and the estate will be distributed according to the strict legal rules of intestacy.

If you are an executor or next of kin, we can help you through the process.  With the right help and some careful planning, many difficulties can be avoided.  We shall be pleased to look at your particular circumstances and advise accordingly.
