If franchisees are required to obtain premises you will need to think about how to assist that process and make it easier for the franchisee. You will also need to consider whether, and if so how, you will provide additional security to the landlord by, for example taking a lease of the premises and then subletting to the franchisee, or by providing a guarantee to the landlord on behalf of the franchisee. Whilst you may wish not to become involved in the property process, landlords may well insist that you do.
