News | Cohabitation and Trusts of Land Book Launch
Last week saw the official launch of the second edition of Cohabitation and Trusts of Land published by Sweet & Maxwell. Written, in part, by Zenith Chambers based barrister Elizabeth Darlington the work is one of the leading texts in this emerging area of law and is used by judges and practitioners alike.
Watson Esam Litigation Solicitor and property expert Jonathan Holsgrove has contributed to the second edition. Speaking at the launch Jonathan highlighted the importance of the text:
"More property is now owned by people outside of conventional family arrangements and this can often lead to quite complex legal disputes. Cohabitation and Trusts of Land offers practitioners a clear explanation of the legal concepts that apply in arguments concerning the co-ownership of property, together with a practical guide to how these claims work. It really is an essential tool and should be the first port of reference for all solicitors and barristers in this area. I feel privileged to have been asked to contribute a small part to this core text, a contribution which recognises Watson Esam's role in developing the law relating to the joint ownership of property."
